Step-by-step explanation:

3x + 9 - 2x + 1 = 5x - 5

x + 10 = 5x - 5

10+5 = 5x - x

15=4x

x = 15/4 ans.

Answer:

3(x + 3) - 2(x - 1) = 5(x - 5)

3x + 9 - 2x +2 = 5x - 25

4x = 36

x = 9

Checking:

Putting the value of x in  3(x + 3) - 2(x - 1) = 5(x - 5)

LHS

3(9 + 3) - 2(9 - 1) = 36 - 16 = 20

RHS

5(9 - 5) = 20

LHS = RHS
