USING THE IDENTITY:-

 {(x + y)}^{2}  =  {x}^{2}  +  {y}^{2}  + 2xy

here X = a , y = 2

 {(a + 2)}^{2}  =  {a}^{2}  +  {2}^{2}  + 2(2a) \\  \\  =  {a}^{2}  + 4 + 4a
