Solution :-

since in right angle ∆ ABC right angle is at B .

so,

→ AB = Perpendicular height .

→ BC = Base .

then,

→ Area ∆ABC = (1/2) * Base * Perpendicular height .

→ (1/2) * AB * BC = x² + (9/2)x - 9

→ AB * BC = 2x² + 9x - 18

→ AB * BC = 2x² + 12x - 3x - 18

→ AB * BC = 2x(x + 6) - 3(x + 6)

→ AB * BC = (x + 6)(2x - 3)

therefore, length of AB and BC are (x + 6) units and (2x - 3) units respectively .

[Note :- when AB is (x + 6) units , BC is (2x - 3) units and when AB is (2x - 3) units, BC is (x + 6) units. ]
