We will find the area of triangle by this following steps :

  • First , find the s = a + b + c / 2 = 4 + 4 + 4 / 2 = 12 / 2 = 6

         s = 6cm ....

  • Then find the area by this formula :

      \sqrt{ s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)}  sq.unit

= \sqrt{6(6-4)(6-4)(6-4)} cm^2

= \sqrt{6(2)(2)(2)} cm^2

= \sqrt{2*3*2*2*2} cm^{2}

= 3\sqrt{2*2}  =  3\sqrt{4} cm^{2} Ans.

Given :

Side (a) = 4cm

To Find :

Area of triangle

Formula Applied :

\text{Area of equilateral Triangle } = \sqrt{3} \frac{a^2}{4}

Solution :

In equilateral triangle  all sides are equal.

\text{Area of triangle} = \sqrt{3} \frac{a^2}{4}

\implies \sqrt{3} \times \frac{4^{2} }{4}

\implies \sqrt{3} \times \frac{4 \times 4}{4}

\implies \sqrt{3} \times \frac{4}{1}

\implies \texttt{4$\sqrt{3} \:cm^2$} \:\:\: (or)\:\:\:\:6.92 cm ^2
