8. The atmospheric pressure exerted on the surface of the earth is 10.^5 N/m². If the density of air is assumed
to be uniform equal to 1.3 kg/m^3 and g = 10 m/s^2, calculate the height of the atmosphere.

Answer:

Atmospheric pressure, P = h * d * g

h = height

d = density

g = acceleration due to gravity

So h = P / d * g

= 10^5 / 1.3 * 10

= 10^5 / 13

h = 7692.3 m
