Answer:

let the common ratio is x

so base of the triangle is 3x cm

height of the triangle is 4xcm

area of the triangle za=1/2.basr.height

1/2.3x.4x=96

=> 6x^2=96

=> x^2=96/6=16

=> x=√16=4

so the base if the triangle is 3.4cm=12cm

Question

The base and height of at triangle are in the ratio 3:4 and its area is 96 sq.m . find its base and height

Answer: base = 3×4 = 12cm and height = 4×4 = 16 cm

Solution

Let the base be 3x

Let the height be 4x

Area of triangle, A = ½ × base × altitude = 96 m²

96 = ½ × base × ¼ base

96 = 6x²

x² = 16 or x = 4

base = 3×4 = 12cm and

height = 4×4 = 16 cm

Hope it helps uh!
