Let us consider the second integer as x.

So according to the question :

x - (-25) = 45

We have been asked to find the second integer which we have considered as x.

\longrightarrow{\tt{x - (-25) = 45}}

We will transpose either of the terms and bring them to the same side of the equal to sign.

Note that when a number is shifted to other side of the equal to sign ; its sign changes.

\longrightarrow{\tt{x = 45 + (-25)}}

Now calculating the value as (+ , -) = - and sign of Bigger number.

\longrightarrow{\tt{x = 45 - 25}}

\large{\boxed{\implies{\tt{x = 20}}}}

Verification :

\longrightarrow{\tt{20 - (-25) = 45}}

\longrightarrow{\tt{(- , -) = + }}

\longrightarrow{\tt{20 + 25 = 45}}

\longrightarrow{\tt{45 = 45}}

LHS = RHS
