The perimeter of the original rectangle is 2(80 +40) or 240m. if the length is INCREASED by 5% then it is now 1.05 * 80 or 84m on a side. and the breadth is 0.95 * 40 or 38m per side. The perimeter of the new rectangle is 2(84+38) or 244m. Subtracting the two perimeters, the second one is 4 meters longer.
