Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

length of rectangular plot, l = 60m

breadth of rectangular plot, b = 30m

fencing of plot with 1 round of wire = 2(l+b)

= 2(60+30)

= 2×90

= 180m

fencing of plot with 3 rounds of wire = 3×180

. = 540m

Given : Length and breadth of the rectangular plot are 60 m and 30 m respectively. It is to be fenced 3 rounds of wire.

To find : Length of wire required

Solution :

We know that fencing is done on the boundary of the plot, this implies that we have to find out the length of 3 times of the boundary of the rectangular plot.

Boundary of a field is called it's perimeter. We know that perimeter of the rectangle is sum of all it's side.

So the required length of wire = 3 × Perimeter

Length of wire = 3 × [ 2 ( length + breadth ) ]

Length of wire = 3 × [ 2 ( 60 m + 30 m ) ]

Length of wire = 3 × [ 2 ( 90 m ) ]

Length of wire = 3 × [ 180 m ]

Length of wire = 540 m

So the required length of wire needed to fence 3 times around rectangular park is 540 m .
