Given:-

  • Molecular mass of oxygen is 32.

To find :-

  1. What is the GMM of O2
  2. How many moles of molecules are there in 64g of oxygen? How amny molecules are there in it .
  3. Calculate the number of oxygen atoms present in 64g of oxygen.

Explanation :-

Case i)

  • Here we should find Gram molecular mass

  • GMM of O2 = 2× 16=32.

Case ii)

  • No of mole molecules =Mass/GMM=64/32=2.
  • No of molecules = mole × 6.022×10^23
  • =2×6.022×10^23.

Case iii)

  • No of atoms = Number of molecules ×no of molecules in one molecules

  • Number of atoms = 2×6.022×10^23×2
  • Number of oxygen atom present in 64g of oxygen is = 4×6.022×10^23

Hope it helps u mate .

Thank you .
