Given :

  • The perimeter of a square is (4x+20)cm.

To Find :

  • Length of digonal = ?

Solution :

Perimeter of square = 4 × a

➨ 4x + 20 = 4a

➨ a = \sf \dfrac{4x + 20}{4}

➨ a = \sf \dfrac{4(x + 5)}{4}

➨ a = x + 5

Now, we need to find diagonal of square :

Diagonal of square = √2 × side

★ Diagonal of square = √2 (x + 5) cm

Therefore, the diagonal of the square is √2(x + 5) cm.

▪ Question -

Perimeter of square is (4x+20)cm.

▪ To Find -

Length of the Diagonal.

▪ Solution -

☆ We Know that, Perimeter of square = 4 × a

So, It will become,

⟹a =  \frac{4x + 20}{4}

⟹a =  \frac{4(x + 5)}{4}

⟹\frac{\cancel{4(x+5)}}{\cancel{4}}

⟹a = x + 5

☆ Diagonal Of Square = √2×side

So, It will become,

⟹ \sqrt{2}  \times (x + 5)

⟹ \sqrt{2} (x + 5)

⛬ The Length Of diagonal is 2(x+5)cm
