8. The price of a novel is marked at 25% above the cost price. If the marked price of 4 novels is Rs. 700, then what is the cost of a one novel ?

let the cost price be ₹100

marked price be ₹100 + ₹25 = ₹125

marked price of one novel = ₹ 175

₹125 ------ ₹175

₹100 -------?

cost = ₹175×₹100/₹125 = ₹140
