To Find :-

  • The area of a Rectangular plot.

Solution:

Given that,

  • The length and breadth of a Rectangular plot are in the ratio of 4:3
  • The perimeter = 70m

Assumption:

Let us assume the length and breadth of the plot as :-

  • Length = 4x
  • Breadth = 3x

∴ The measure length and breadth is :-

We know,

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( l + b ),

Where,

  • l = Length
  • b = Breadth

2 ( l + b ) = Perimeter

2 ( 4x + 3x ) = 70

4x + 3x = 70/2

4x + 3x = 35

7x = 35

x = 35/7

x = 5

The value of x is 5. Now, length and breadth :-

  • Length = 4x = 4*5 = 20m
  • Breadth = 3x = 3*5 = 15m.

According the question,

  • The area of the plot :-

We know,

Area of rectangle = l × b,

Where,

  • l = Length
  • b = Breadth

l × b

20m × 15m

Area = 300m²

Required Answer :-

  • The area of the rectangular plot is 300m².

Answer:

300m^2

Step-by-step explanation:

let the length be 4x and breadth be 3x.

perimeter of a rectangle = 2×(l+b)

So,

According to the question, 2(4x +3x)=70

=>14x=70

therefore, x= 70÷14 =5

So , the length is 4x i.e 4×5=20m

the breadth is 3x i.e 3×5=15 m

Known that, area of a rectangle = l×b

=20×15m²=300m²
