Answer:

Area =30800sqm and Perimeter = 940m

Step-by-step explanation:

Length of the rectangle = 250-2r (Given)

width is given as 140, which is the diameter of the semi circle

Radius =Diameter/2=140/2=70

Length of the rectangle = 250-2(70)=250-140=110

Area of the rectangle = Length * Breadth = 110*140=15400sq.m

Area of the semi circle = 1/2 πr²

Then area of both semi circles = 2 * 1/2 πr² = πr² =22/7 *70²=15400sq.m

Total Area= 15400 + 15400 =30800sqm.

Perimeter of rectangle = 2 (Length + Breadth)

= 2(110+140)=2*250=500m

Circumference (Perimeter) of semicircle= 1/2 * (2πr)

Circumference (Perimeter) of both semicircles = 2*1/2*(2πr)

=2*22/7*70 =440m

Total Perimeter of the garden = 440+500=940m
