Solution :

8^(x-1) = 2^(x+3)

=> ( 2³ )^(x-1) = 2^(x+3)

=> 2^3(x-1) = 2^(x+3)

****************************************

We know the Exponential law:

If a^m = a^n then m = n

****************************************

3( x - 1 ) = x + 3

=> 3x - 3 = x + 3

=> 3x - x = 3 + 3

=> 3x = 6

=> x = 6/3

x = 2

Therefore ,

x = 2

•••••

=> 2x = 0

8^x-1=2^x+3
(2)^3(x-1)=2^x+3
Equate the powers
3x-3=x+3
2x=6
X=3
