British gave the money to Tularam's Sons.
- Hirimba was the original Cachar's title. Up until the arrival of the British, it was in use during the Kachari Kingdom's dominion.
- After King Gobind Chandra passed away in the year 1830, the region of South Cachar was already governed by the British.
- The British estate now desired to take control of the region to the north as well.
- When Tularam, the monarch of North Cachar, passed away, his two sons, Brahnath Barman and Bakul Burman took over until a dispute broke out between them.
- Any one of the two brothers may be the suspect after the British paid the rent and took control of the territory.
- In the year 1854, the areas were annexed. Cachar as a whole was thus captured by the British.
