8 Uncle Vivek's Zoo
Tell the class about one animal that you have seen in the zoo.

on Sunday, all of us went to the Oxy Zoo.
My Uncle Vivek is the zookeeper. He looks after all
the animals. He sees that the animals get their food.
He also sees that no animal is sick. When they are
sick, Uncle Vivek calls the animal doctor.
The doctor gives them medicine and takes care of them.
Uncle Vivek says we must be kind to animals.
He takes us around the zoo.
Uncle Vivek shows us the lions
first. We hear the lions roar. Uncle
tells us that the lions roar to speak to
other lions.

Then, we go to see the bears, the deer,
the tiger, and the elephants. Ravi and
Susan go for elephant rides. Monkeys
chatter as they jump in the trees.
Some people throw stones at the crocodile.
Uncle runs to stop them. He tells them
not to hurt the animals.​
