There are 6 types of adverbs

  • Adverb of manner- The describe how the action is being done. Is it fast, slow, etc

  • adverb of degree- They describe the intensity of the action. eg- more, much, very, etc.

  • adverb of time- They inform us of the time of the action at which it took place. eg- yesterday, today, tomorrow, etc

  • adverb of frequency- they give us the answer to the question, "how often"

  • adverb of place- they inform us of the place at which the action was performed. eg- here, there, etc

  • conjunctive adverbs- These act as conjunctions to a sentence. eg- nevertheless, however, etc.
