Here, the value of y is 5.

According to the question,

4x - 2y = 0

or, 4x - 2(5) = 0

or, 4x = 10

or, x = 10/4

So, the value of k is 10/4. ( k = x )

To check:-

4 (10/4) - 2(5) = 0

or, 10 - 10 = 0 ( 4 got cancelled )

or, 0 = 0

LHS = RHS

Hence, Verified.
