Answer:

wave length=C/frequency (C=speed of light)

w.L=3×10⁸ m/s/5×10¹⁴

3×10⁸/5×10¹⁴

after solving 0.6 micro meter

so Ans–(D)

Given :

Frequency (n) = 5 × 10^{14} Hz

To Find :

Wavelength of the light waves

Solution :

We know,

Velocity of light wave (V) = Frequency (n) × Wavelength (λ)

Velocity of light (V) = 3×10^{8} m/sec and Frequency (n) is given 5 × 10^{14} Hz

∴           V           =  nλ

⇒       3×10^{8}         =  5 × 10^{14} × λ

⇒          λ             =   \frac{3 * 10^8}{5 * 10^1^4}

∴           λ             =    0.6 × 10^{-6} m  = 0.6 micro meter

∴ The wavelength of light waves if their frequency is 5 × 10^{14} Hz is 0.60 micro meter.

The correct option is (D) 0.60 micro meter.
