Books were written in the past dealt with all sorts of themes, such as- religious beliefs, lives of kings, medicine and science. Also, there were plays, poems, epics (Ramayana & Mahabharata). The languages of these books were mainly in Sanskrit, Prakrit & Tamil. I would like to read the Ramayana as it is not just a story which happened long ago, it possesses a philosophical, spiritual significance and a deep truth in it.
