8. While measuring the length of a rod with a vernier
callipers, Fig. 1.14 below shows the position of its
scales. What is the length of the rod ?

Answer: 0.9cm

Explanation: The measurement is between 3.4 cm to 4.3 cm

and on finding their difference is comes out to be 0.9 cm.

I hope it makes sense.
