Dear Diary,
Today Grandpa told me an amazing story of an ancient seaman. The seaman’s last voyage was rather eventful, with bad weather leaving them marooned on an island for years together, then being rescued by a ship that had strayed from its course. Once rescued, the mariner guided the ship onto the right course. Then they were attacked by pirates. Led by the courageous seaman, defeated the pirates and handed them over to the authorities at the nearest port. They were rewarded handsomely, in gold coins. I think life is full of events. It is how one handles them that matters. One probably has the power to shape his or her own life. What a realisation!
