Question:-

➡ Solve the given equation..

Answer:-

➡ The value of x is 11.

Solution:-

➡ 8(x + 4) - 3(x + 1) = 6(x + 3)

➡ 8x + 32 - 3x - 3 = 6x + 18

➡ 5x + 29 = 6x + 18

➡ x = 29 - 18

➡ x = 11

Hence, the required value of x is 11.

Verification:-

Let us verify our result.

Taking LHS,

8(x + 4) - 3(x + 1)

= 8 × (11 + 4) - 3(11 + 1)

= 8 × 15 - 3 × 12

= 120 - 36

= 84

Taking RHS,

6(x + 3)

= 6 × (11 + 3)

= 6 × 14

= 84

Hence, LHS = RHS

So, 11 is our required answer. (Verified)

Answer:

8(x + 4) - 3(x + 1) = 6(x + 3) \\ 8x + 32 - 3x - 3 = 6x + 18 \\ 5x + 29 = 6x + 18 \\ 6x - 5x + 18 - 29 = 0 \\ x - 11 = 0 \\ x = 11
