Answer:

8 x + 5 Y = 9(eq1)

3 X - 2y = 4(eq2)

(8x+5y=9)*2

(3x-2y=4)*5

so,16x+10y=18

15x-10y=20

so we get 31x=38

so x=38/31

by substituting x=38/31 in eq 2 we get

3*38/31-2y=4

114/31-2y=4

-2y=4-114/31

-2y=124-114/31

-2y=10/31

y=10/31*-2=-5/31

thus x=38/31 and y=-5/31

hope it helps
