Well it depends on the mass of the object to be weighed.

For lighter one you should prefer the kabadivala balance ( because it's is easy to handle)

For slightly heavier objects you should prefer spring balance.

BUT REMEMBER, WHENEVER YOU ARE USING THE KABADIVALA BALANCE THEN MAKE SURE YOU HANDLE IT YOURSELF, AND NOT THE KABADIVALA AS THEY MAY TRICK YOU
