Given :   Mode of Data = 66 and  daily wages distribution

To find :  Missing frequency

Solution:

Daily wages Workers

30-40         8            

40-50        16

50-60        22

60-70        28  

70-80        f

80 - 90      12

Mode  =     60   +  10 (  28 - 22)/(28 - 22 + 28 - f)

=> 66 = 60 + 10 * 6 / (34 - f)

=> 6 =  10 * 6/(34 - f)

=> 1  = 10/(34 - f)

=> 34 -f  = 10

=> f = 34 - 10

=> f = 24

Missing frequency = 24
