let the number of 10 paisa be x and 50 paisa =(80-x)

a/q

10x+50(80-x)=2400

or, 10x+ 4000-50x= 2400

or, -40x = -1600

or, x = 40

hence number of 10 paisa coin 40

and 80 paisa coin 80-40= 40

Hey Buddy

Here's The Answer

-----------------------------------

Let ( x ) be 10 paise coin and ( y ) be 50 paise coin

Given

80 coin of 10 paise and 50 paise

=> x + y = 80______( 1 )

total value 24 rupees

we know , 1 rupee = 100 paise

=> 10x + 50y = 24 × 100

=> 10x + 50y = 2400

taking 10 common

=> x + 5y = 240______( 2 )

By solving eq (1) and (2)

by (1)

x + y = 80

x = 80 - y

putting value of x in (2)

x + 5y = 240

80 - y + 5y = 240

4y = 240 - 80

4y = 160

y = 40

now putting value of (y) in (1)

x + y = 80

x + 40 = 80

x = 40

So there will be 40 coins of 10 paise

and 40 coins of 50 paise

HOPE HELPED
