Solution :-

Total No .of boys & girls = 80

Ratio of boys and girls   = 6 : 2

Here is the solution ,

∴ No . of boys and girls in ratio = 6 a + 2 b = 80 
  
                                              $8 a = 80$
           
                                              $a = \frac{80}{8}$
                
                                              $a = 10$

∴ No . of boys = 2 b = 2 × 10 = 20 

∴ No . of girls  = 6 a = 6 × 10 = 60

Total .No . of students = 80
