80 gram of hydrogen gas is reacted with 80 gram of oxygen gas to form water.Find the mass of water obtained.

according to reaction of water formation

80 gram hydrogen and 40 g oxygen will combine and will form 80 gram of water ... this is bcz of stoichiometry calculation

80g of hydrogen = 80÷2 moles= 40moles

80g if oxygen = 80÷32 moles

since, moles of O2 is lesser than H2, O2 is limiting reagent

=) 16 g O2 gives= 18g water

=) 80g O2 gives= 18×80÷16

= 90 g
