Given that the 80% of an angle is the supplement of 140° and let that angel be x

We know that,

The sum of supplementary angles are 180° so,

\sf\longmapsto Supplement  \: angle  = x + 140 = 180 \\  \\ \sf\longmapsto Supplement  \: angle  = x = 180 - 140 \\  \\ \sf\longmapsto Supplement  \: angle  = x = 40 \degree \\  \\  \bf \: hence \:  \: angle \: be \: 40 \degree

______________

According to the question,

\sf\qquad\qquad\longrightarrow80\% \times x = 40 \degree \\  \\ \sf\qquad\qquad\longrightarrow \frac{80}{100}  \times x = 40 \degree \\  \\ \sf\qquad\qquad\longrightarrow \: x =  \cancel{40 }\times  \frac{100}{ \cancel{80}}  \\  \\ \sf\qquad\qquad\longrightarrow \:  x\:  =  \:  \cancel \frac{100}{2}  \\  \\ \sf\qquad\qquad\longrightarrow \: x = 50 \degree

Hence the meager of supplementary angle be 50°

Answer:

angle=50°

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the angle be x°

supplement of 140° = 180-140

= 40°

=> 80% of x = 40°

80/100*x=40

80x= 40*100

x= 4000/80

x= 50°
