\sf{Supplement  \: of  \: 140 = 180- 140 = 40}

So by the condition given in your question we get equation..

\implies\sf{80percent × x = 40}

\implies\sf{80/100  \times  x = 40}

\implies\sf{x = 40 x 100/80}

\implies\sf{x =\fbox\purple{ 50}}

So the angle is of measure 50.
