80 railway wagons all of same mass 5x10^3 kg are pulled by an engine with a force of 4x10^5N the tension in the coupling between of 30th and 31th wagon from the engine is?

 \bf \huge \bigstar \underline{Answer : }

Given:

  • Mass of each wagon = 5×10³ kg

  • Force applied on the engine = 4×10^5 N

Soln:

Total mass of 80 wagons = 80 × 5 × 10³ kg

ma = 4×10^5

a=1 m/s²

So , weagon the right side which produces tension!

⚽ T = 50 × one wagon mass × a

⚽T = 50 × 5 ×10³×1

⚽T = 25 × 10⁴ N

Therefore,

The tension in the coupling between of 30th and 31th wagon from the engine is 25 × 10N!!!

Questíon :-

 \longrightarrow80 railway wagons all of same mass 5x10³ kg are pulled by an engine with a force of 4x10⁵ N the tension in the coupling between of 30th and 31th wagon from the engine is

Given :-

 \longrightarrowMass of each wagon = 5 × 10³kg

 \longrightarrowFroce applied on the engine = 4 × 10⁵N

To find :-

 \longrightarrowThe tension in the coupling between of 30th and 31th wagon from the engine

Solution :-

→ Total mass of wagons

= 80 × 5 × 10³kg = 4 × 10³kg

 \longrightarrow \boxed{  \bf \: F  = ma} \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:   \\ \\  \longrightarrow  \rm 4 \times  {10}^{5}  = ma  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: \\ \\ \longrightarrow \rm 4 \times  {10}^{5}  = 4  \times  {10}^{5}  \times a  \\ \\ \longrightarrow \rm a =  \cancel \frac{4 \times  {10}^{5} }{4 \times  {10}^{5} }  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \\ \\ \longrightarrow \boxed{  \rm a = 1m {s}^{ - 2} } \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:

so,wagon to the right side wide produces tension

 \longrightarrow \rm T = 50 \times one \: wagon \: mass \times a \\  \longrightarrow \rm T = 50 \times 5 \times  {10}^{3}  \times 1  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: \\   \longrightarrow   \boxed{  \rm \: T = 25 \times  {10}^{4} n} \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:

Hence, the tension in the coupling between of 30th and 31th wagon from the engine is 25 × 10⁴N

MoRe to know....

  • The tension force is the force that is transmitted through a string, rope, cable or wire when it is pulled tight by forces acting from opposite ends.
  • The tension force is directed along the length of the wire and pulls equally on the objects on the opposite ends of the wire.
