Given :   The curved surface area of a cylindrical 800 cm²

the diameter of the base is 16 cm.

To Find : height and volume of the cylinder

Solution:

curved surface area of a cylindrical = 2πrh

r =  radius = diameter /2  =  16/2  = 8 cm

CSA = 800  cm²

π = 22/7

=> 800  = 2(π)8*h

=>  50 =  (π)h

=> h =  50/π

=> h = 15.91  cm

Volume =  πr²h

= π(8)²50/π

= 64 * 50

= 3200  cm³

Height  of cylinder = 50/π cm  or  15.91  cm

Volume = 3200  cm³
