 {(81)}^{? \frac{1}{2} }  -  {(64)}^{ -  \frac{2}{3} }  \\

We can also write is as :

 {( {9}^{2} )}^{ \frac{1}{2} }  -  {( {4}^{3} )}^{ -  \frac{2}{3} }  \\  \\  =  {9}^{2 \times  \frac{1}{2} }  -  {4}^{3 \times  -  \frac{2}{3} }  \\  \\  = 9 -  {4}^{ - 2}  \\  \\  = 9 -  \frac{1}{ {4}^{2} }  \\  \\  = 9 -  \frac{1}{16}  \\  \\  =  \frac{9 \times 16 - 1}{16}  \\  \\  =  \frac{144 - 1}{16}  \\  \\  =  \frac{143}{16}

(9)²/² -(4)^-6/3
9¹-4^-²
9- 1/4²
9-1/16
9/1 - 1/16
