Answer:49.26 L

Explanation:By using the formula PV= nRT

Where N = 88/44 =2 N= 0.0821 L-1 atm-1  T= 300K and P= 5 atm

then V=nRT/P By substituting the values we will get the answer

Answer:

Explanation:

GIVEN = wt. of carbon dioxide (CO2) = 88 grams

            temperature = 27°C = 300K

              pressure = 5 atm

TO FIND = volume occupied by gas

SOLUTION = By applying ideal gas equation : PV=nRT

Here, n = number of moles of CO2 = \frac{given wt. of CO2}{molecular weight of CO2}

                                                            =\frac{88}{44} = 2

R or this case = 0.0821 L⁻¹ atm⁻¹

∴      5× V = 2 × 0.0821 × 300

         5V = 49.46

           V = 49.26÷5

          V= 9.85 L
