Step-by-step explanation:

let the mangoes in the basket = x

he sold mangoes in his first attempt = ⅓x

AFTER SELLING HE ADD 18 MANGOES IN THE BASKET.

basket = (x-⅓x) +18

condition two

HE sold three by fourth of mango

that is ¾(3x-x/3+18)

¾(2/3x+28)

¼(2x/3+54/3)

mangoes left in the basket after adding 12 to it

after selling mangoes twice he left with 25 mangoes

(x+28+22) -( ⅓x+ 2x+54/4)

x+30 = 4x + (2x +54) = 25

12x+360-4x-6x-162 = 25

2x+198/12 =25

2x+198 =25×12

2x = 102/2

x = 51

therefore total number of mangoes he have earlier is 51 .
