8p +  \frac{6}{7}  =  \frac{26}{9}  - p \\  \\ 8p + p =  \frac{26}{9}  -  \frac{6}{7}  \\  \\ 9p =  \frac{128}{63}  \\  \\ p =  \frac{128}{63 \times 9}  \\  \\  \frac{128}{567}

We can check by put this value in equation.

8 \times  \frac{128}{567}  +  \frac{6}{7}  =  \frac{26}{9}  -  \frac{128}{567}  \\  \\  \frac{1510}{567}  =  \frac{1510}{567}

Hence verified.
