\textbf{Concept used:}

\text{If a, b and c are in A.P, then}

\bf\,b=\frac{a+c}{2}

\textbf{Given:}

\text{8x+1, 6x-1, 3x+5 are in A.P}

\textbf{To find:}\;x

\text{Since 8x+1, 6x-1, 3x+5 are in A.P, we have}

6x-1=\frac{8x+1+3x+5}{2}

2(6x-1)=11x+6

12x-2=11x+6

12x-11x=6+2

\implies\boxed{\bf\,x=8}

\therefore\textbf{The value of x is 8}

The value of x = 8

Given:

8x+1,6x-1,3x+5 are in A. P.

To find:

The value of x

Concept used:

In arithmetic progression common difference is same in all numbers.

Explanation:

In arithmetic progression common difference is same in all numbers.

So that Common difference =  (6x-1) - (8x+1) = (3x+5) - (8x+1)

(6x-1) - (8x+1) = (3x+5) - (6x-1)

2((6x-1)) = 3x+5 +8x +1

12x - 2 = 11x +6

12x -11x = 6+2

        x = 8

The value of x = 8
