8x + 10 = 3(x-1) + 7

=> 8x + 10 = 3x - 3 +7

=> 8x +10 = 3x + 4

=> 8x - 3x = 4 - 10

=> 5x = - 6

$= > x = \frac{ - 6}{5}$

Ans : x = -6/5
