Heya !

Here is your answer =================================================================================

=> 8x=5y
13x=8y+1

8x-5y=0
13x-8y=1

multiply first equations by 8, and second equation by 5, so that the co-efficient of y gets to be the same

we have

64x-40y=0
65x-40y=5

subtracting 1 from 2, we have
65x-40y - (64x-40y) = 5-0
65x-40y-64x+40y=5
x=5

substituting, 8*5=5y
40=5y
y=8

Hope it helps !!! : )
