8 x + 5 y = 9    or     16 x + 10 y = 18

3 x + 2y = 4   or       15 x + 10 y = 20


So x = -2    and hence  2 y = 4 - 3 x = 10 .    y = 5.

  ie., (x,y) = (-2, 5) is the point of intersection.
