To factorise an equation, you have to find the HCF of the coefficients of all the variables in the equation, and then take the HCF as common in the equation.

The coefficient of x is 8

The coefficient of y is 8

The HCF of 8 and 8 is 8

So, 8x + 8y = 8(x - y)
