Step-by-step explanation:

let take 8x-9y=7 to be eq---(i)

and 2x-3y=-5-------(ii)

Now, Multiplying 1 in eq(i) and 4 in eq (ii) we get,

8x-9y=7 --(iii) and 8x-12y=-20---(iv)

(ii)-(i)=8x-12y-8x+9y=-20-7

= -3y= -27

= y = -27/-3

y=9

putting the value of y in eq (ii) we get

2x-3*9=-5

2x-27=-5

2x= 22

x=11

Hence x=11 and y=9
