Answer:

→8×2+16x=0

→16+16x=0

→16x=0-16

→16x=-16

→X= -16/16

→X= -1

p(x) = 8x²+16x

Hit and trial method -

(1) x+2 = 0

x = -2

8(-2)²+16(-2) = 0

8(4)+16(-2) = 0

32-32 = 0

0 = 0

so x+2 is a factor of p(x)

that mean -2 will be its zero.....
