- x - 8y = 10 → Equation 1
- 2x - 3y = 7 → Equation 2
- from eq1 ,
- x = 10 + 8y → eq(3)
- then , substitute eq3 in eq2 ,
- 2(10+8y) - 3y = 7
- 20 + 16y - 3y = 7
- 13y = -13
- y = -1
- now substitute y value in eq3 ,
- x = 10 + 8(-1) = 10 - 8 = 2
- Value of x = 2
- Value of y = -1
