Answer:

8y = x – 10; 2x = 3y + 7

x-8y-10=0,,,,,,, 2x-3y-7=0....

multiplying equation1 by 2

I.e =.... 2x-16y-20=0...and 2x-3y-7=0

by solving.... u get ur answer

  • x - 8y = 10 Equation 1
  • 2x - 3y = 7 Equation 2
  • from eq1 ,
  • x = 10 + 8y eq(3)
  • then , substitute eq3 in eq2 ,
  • 2(10+8y) - 3y = 7
  • 20 + 16y - 3y = 7
  • 13y = -13
  • y = -1
  • now substitute y value in eq3 ,
  • x = 10 + 8(-1) = 10 - 8 = 2
  • Value of x = 2
  • Value of y = -1
