~Question :-

Solve the given fractions :-

 \mapsto \sf{(\frac{-9}{25})+(\frac{-3}{10})}

~Answer :-

  • For finding the sum of the given rational numbers;

 \sf{( \frac{- 9}{25} ) + ( \frac{ - 3}{10} )} \\

  • Now, make the denominators equal by taking common factors of 25 and 10;

 \leadsto \sf{\frac{ (- 9) + ( - 3)}{50} } \\

  • Now, we have to solve the integers on the numerator;

 \leadsto \sf{ \frac{ - 12}{50} } \\

  • Now, reduce the fraction to the lowest term;

 \leadsto \sf{ \frac{ - 12}{50} } \\  \\  \leadsto \sf{ \frac{ \cancel{ - 12}}{ \cancel{50}} } \\  \\  \leadsto \sf{ \frac{ - 6}{25} }

» Hence, the answer will be \sf{\frac{-6}{25}}.

{\large{\sf {\red{ Given :}}}}

\frac{ - 9}{25} \:  +   \frac{ - 3}{10}

{\large{\sf{\red{Solution :}}}}

\frac{ - 9}{25} \:  +  \frac{ - 3}{10}

LCM of 25 and 10 = 50

 \frac{ - 9 \times 2}{25 \times 2} \:  +  \frac{ - 3 \times 5}{10 \times 5}

=

 \frac{ - 18}{50} \:   +  \frac{ - 15}{50}

 \frac{( - 18 )+ ( - 15)}{50}

=

 \frac{ - 33}{50}
