so, mass of water in t sec , m = 250t/60 = 25t/6 kg

height of water, h = 150m

so, potential energy of water , U = mgh

= 25t/6 × 10 × 150

= 25t × 10 × 25

power of electric pump = energy required to pump/time taken

= 6250t/t = 6250 w

we know, 1 horse power = 746 watt
