On taking logrlarithm on both side

Cancel log3 from both side,

Note: You can directly compare the exponent if and only if base is equal and greater than 1,because exponential functions are defined for base greater than 1.
:In this case you can use this method also. Just by comparing you can write directly as
n+2=6,n=4.
