Then let us see what happens.

And we know that 13 o' clock = 1 o' clock

Thus we can prove that :-

This can be done according to the time of the digital clock

So if we add 9 o'clock and 4 o'clock according to clock time it will be seen that

9+4=13

We know the time according to the digital clock

13 = 1

14 = 2

15 = 3

16 = 4

17 = 5

18 = 6

19 = 7

This continues till 24 in a row.

So, observation shows that 9+4=13
